Welcome to the Faculty of Information Technologies

Following wishes and pursuit of young people, primarily of those who planned to continue their education at some of the higher-education institutions of our University, we launched an initiative in 1996 to establish a Study of Informatics at the University. The University Senate appointed a committee with a task to make a feasibility study for establishing a higher-education institution in the field of information technologies. In a relatively short period of time, the Committee made this study and it proved that the idea to establish a two-year Study of Informatics was justified. Therefore, the University Council made an official decision on 10 October 1997 to establish a new higher-education institution. By establishing Study of Informatics at the University we met demands of a great number of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina who now have an opportunity to get educated in the area of information technology in their own country.
